Lerin/Hystad (S/N)
Lerin / Hystad is a Swedish / Norwegian artist and music duo formed in 2010 consisting of Simon Torssell Lerin and Bettina Hvidevold Hystad. They work in a borderland between art and music with an interest in improvisation, collaboration, storytelling and chance. Their works are mainly presented as sound installations, videos, concerts, books and records. Their music mixes field-recordings with ambient soundscapes, electronica, post-rock and drone and has been released on labels such as Clouds Hill, Ani Mals and Extemporaneous Recordings. Lerin / Hystad are also active improvisers and have collaborated with musicians such as Damo Suzuki, Omar Rodriguez Lopez, Keiji Haino, Schneider TM amongst many others.

Mount Buzhou will be released on Extemporaneous Recordings on April 15 and is based on field-recordings of traditional Chinese music from Chongqing and Kunming, China mixed ambient soundscapes, heavy drones, electronica and post-rock. The album is currently getting great reviews on blogs and music-magazines.

ret p*air (D)
Roland Etzin (ret p*air)
works in the genres of field recordings and audio art. He is co-founder of the recordlabel Gruenrekorder and the Society for the Advancement of Phonography and Experimental Music. He also is part of the electronic music formation Autumn Appreciation Society. For three months in 2009, Roland was Artist in Residence in the Guesthouse in Cork City / Ireland. “urban sound stories” Vol. 01-05 was broadcasted on ORF / Austria in December 2009, and “TransMongolian” on Deutschlandradio / Germany in March 2012 – “Aufbruch” will be broadcasted in December 2014. The Audio Track “Portrait 6 (Japan)” was on “The Wire Tapper 29” CD with The Wire magazine in July 2012.
